Pediatric Allergy Program Care Team

The team of allergy experts at the Pediatric Allergy Program, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, partners with you and your child to help manage all aspects of allergy diagnosis and treatment.

Our Care Team

In addition to our doctors, our team also includes a child life specialist, pediatric nurse practitioner, registered dietitians, and registered nurses.

Nancy J. De Guzman, CPNP

Ms. De Guzman completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, Los Angeles, and received her master of science degree at Columbia University School of Nursing. She has a background in pediatric critical care, as both a nurse and as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Now working as part of the Pediatric Allergy and Immunology team, she appreciates being able to care for children throughout their childhood, helping improve their quality of life.

Eileen Hoyes, BSN, RN, MSN

Ms. Hoyes, a registered nurse, oversees patient skin prick testing and intradermal testing at the Pediatric Allergy Program, where she has been a member of the care team since 2019.

Miriam Segal, RN

Miriam SegalMs. Segal received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from NYU, and has a background in pediatric allergy. She enjoys caring for children with various conditions and helping the patient and family feel comfortable during their visit.

Joseline Cruz Vasquez, MPH

Ms. Cruz Vasquez received her master’s degree in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Binghamton University. As a research coordinator, she helps with recruitment efforts, study start-up activities, and general study management.

Bethany Hanusch, BSN, RN

Bethany Hanusch, BSN, RN Ms. Hanusch received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Delhi and has a background in clinical research. She is passionate about working with children and hopes to contribute towards new interventions related to allergies.
